Lynn Al-Abiad, born in 1995, is a Lebanese colourist and film photographer based in Cologne, Germany.
In her work she concentrates on following the (sun)light, and using colours to surface emotions and tell a story.
She studied Film and Directing at L'Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in Beirut, graduating in 2016.
In that same year she first discovered color grading while working as an assistant editor.
Since 2018, she has worked as a colourist across a range of projects including feature films, documentaries, short films, and series.
In 2021, she moved to Germany and completed a postgraduate diploma in Media Arts at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Köln (KHM) in July 2025.
She has been working with analog photography since 2018 and
always enjoys a collaboration that brings in sensitivity, patience, and a soft but raw form of expression through film.
She currently works as a freelance colourist, with films she graded screening at international festivals including Sundance, Filmfest München, Duisburg Film Festival, and Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis.
